Passport for Newborn in Saudi

Hi All!

Can anyone help with the following:

1.  What is the process when obtaining a S.african passport for a newborn baby in Jeddah?
2.  How long does this process take?

I'm replying to my own posts where is the knowledge pplz?

Yah but anyways got the answer to my question from embassy so i thought id share..it takes 3 months for a passport and 6 weeks for a temp passport whic is valid for 1 year.
One must get the relevant docs from Hospital once baby is born and take it to govt office for checking then to Embassy.

Fahms, does this mean the child has South African citizenship.

Do you have to register the child with the embassy?

Definitely a SA Citizenship yes..Saudis dont hand out citizenships so easily!
Yes you have to register with Embassy..Eish Thanks Gawd i dont have to stand in dat queue at Home affairrrrrrrss!
