Diving in Jeddah

Hi All

I am bringing my kids out from SA and would like to know if anybody can give any good recommendations with regards diving in Jeddah. I have my PADI certification but the kids do not and so it will have to be new courses for them and refresh for me. I need details on accomodation, facilities, purchasing of diving equipment and courses.

Any help will be great!!

Good diving in Jeddah some may say the best - get hold of Red Sea Divers they can help or Desert Divers - all have instructors...

There are also hotels that host diving courses - FAL is one you may want to look them up when in Jeddah but there are plenty of smaller groups you can join that are accredited as well.

Thank goodness you didn't ask about DRIVING in Jeddah otherwise Chilly will be back on his horse ....as thats another story.

There is a woman called Maggie who does courses - has been in Jeddah for years. I do not have her contact details but if you call Bob Wilson (the sports officer at the Al Bilad Hotel) I am sure he will have her contact details. My wife, my son and I did courses with her during our first stay in Jeddah. Or e-mail Andreas Wolf at jeddahdiving@hotmail.com - he used to courses in Jeddah but has moved to Riyadh - however, he says he has contact details of reputable dive trainers in Jeddah. His mobile number is 050 955 10 59.
